METRINo Workshop @ NME25: How Metrology Improves Nanomedicine

Event details:

  • Start date: May 28, 2025 16:00 CET
  • End date: May 28, 2025 19:00 CET
  • Location: Barcelona

On May 28, 2025, the METRINo project hosted a highly interactive and successful workshop at the prestigious Nanomed Europe 2025 (NME25) conference in Barcelona. More than 50 participants—researchers, industry specialists, regulatory experts, and clinicians—gathered to explore how advanced metrology is crucial to progress in nanomedicine.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Expert Talks: METRINo consortium experts delivered insightful presentations on developing robust measurement standards, reference materials, interlaboratory comparisons, and advanced nanoparticle imaging techniques.
  • Interactive Panel Discussion: Moderated by Alexandre Ceccaldi (ETPN), this engaging panel focused on real-world needs for reference materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and practical solutions to foster widespread adoption of advanced nanoparticle characterization.

Key Outcomes:

  • Strong validation of METRINo’s strategic priorities and deliverables
  • Clear identification of community needs for practical metrology resources
  • Concrete next steps, including launching a technical webinar series for continued engagement

Replay available soon: Missed the session or interested in revisiting the discussions? A full replay of the workshop will soon be available on the METRINo website.

Stay tuned and join us as we continue advancing metrology to drive nanomedicine innovation!
