Keeping METRINO aligned from ambition to delivery

WP6 provided the coordination framework behind METRINO: connecting partners and work packages, monitoring progress, supporting timely delivery and maintaining the shared project direction.

Why it mattered Management was the link between parallel scientific activities and one coherent project — helping methods, materials, comparisons and impact actions progress together.

Project structure

One coordination layer, five result-producing work packages

WP6 did not operate as a separate scientific stream. It connected the work packages so that material development, measurement methods, biological-matrix workflows, tissue studies and impact activities could move forward as one project.

Shared responsibility. WP6 was transversal: every partner contributed to project delivery through its work package activities, reporting and participation in consortium decision-making.

A consortium kept connected

METRINO combined milestone-based physical meetings with virtual coordination and independent external perspectives. Each format served a different purpose: collective alignment, operational follow-through or strategic challenge.

Physical and hybrid moments for collective alignment

Key meetings created shared review points from the 2023 kick-off at LNE in Paris, through the M18 consortium review, to the final hybrid meeting at INRiM in Turin.

Working rhythm

Virtual coordination between major milestones

Virtual consortium exchanges and Project Board meetings connected the coordinator with WP leaders, monitored delivery, surfaced dependencies and prepared decisions between physical meetings.

Strategic Advisory Board

An independent external perspective

The SAB complemented consortium expertise by bringing external perspectives into project discussions, helping the team test relevance and consider wider stakeholder, uptake and standardisation needs.

Project coordination

METRINO project 22HLT04 was funded within the European Partnership on Metrology, co-financed by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme and by the Participating States.
