Head of Biophotonics
Short bio: Dr. Ute Resch-Genger is head of division Biophotonics at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM). Her research interests include photophysics of molecular and nanocrystalline emitters, stimuli-responsive optical probes, signal enhancement, multiplexing, and encoding strategies, and nanometrology. She also develops concepts for the standardization and validation of optical-spectroscopic measurements including reference materials and standardizable methods for the quantification of surface functionalities on nanomaterials. In addition, she is involved in national and international standardization activities on optical measurements and the characterization of nanomaterials
