The METRINO project is set to foster the clinical readiness of nanomedicine in Europe, transitioning from promising results to more systematic, impactful, real-world applications for patients. We're enabling the nanomedicine sector to flourish by providing standardised, traceable metrology that ensures the safety, efficacy, and quality of nanotherapeutics.

Standardised measurement protocols and reference materials developed by METRINO will significantly benefit pharmaceutical companies and researchers. This includes a detailed roadmap for test and reference materials, covering diverse nanomaterials like Fe_xO_y, HfO₂, LNPs, and liposomes.

2. Guiding Regulatory Frameworks

METRINO's contributions will provide a solid foundation for regulatory bodies, fostering clear and comprehensive guidelines for nanomedicine, ensuring patient safety and timely introduction of treatments.

Interlaboratory Comparisons: An internal comparison among partners, utilising techniques like SAXS, micro-CT, and electron microscopy, will lay the groundwork for external collaborations beyond the project lifetime.
